Hello,

Does anyone know how Visone is calculating the closeness centrality values for not fully connected (directed) networks? I cannot identify how the values from Visone are connected to the results i obtain with Ucinet (Freeman)?
Also, is there a way to distinguish between In- and OutCloseness in Visone (as suggested for directed networks)?

I'm grateful for any kind of help.

Kind regards,

Janina

Closeness is undefined for networks with more than one component.  The best you can do is cut/paste the different components then calculate closeness on those.
