What is "status" centrality?

Hello Konstanz!

I've found the "status" node centrality measure useful, but I don't
know how it's calculated. Could you explain it or point me to a
reference?

It's Katz' Status with an attenuation of 1/(1+min(outdegrees,indegrees))
If I remember correctly defined in
L. Katz, "A new status index derived from sociometric analysis",
Psychometrika, 1953
