Sendoff

Guys,

So I talked to a couple of my Moot Court TA friends and they said that the 1L "Brief Relief" (when every 1L stands in line around the whole school and turns in their briefs, then all head to doors and get blasted) is on Thursday, the 22nd, at the same time as our send-off (6-7 pm). From what I remember last year, there was a lot of craziness going on around that time, so now I'm really not sure if I want to do the send-off on that date.

Evan, do we really not have any other date at all? (The above also applies to those two 1Ls who are supposed to come to our send-off).

Jay,

We went through this in practice. There are conflicts on M Tu and W with classes, so Th was the only night ever really open.

We could try to do something on Friday afternoon if that would work better. 

If we would like to drop the send off, we can also do that. I just wanted to do something public so people talk about it, as well as have alums involved so we can make sure Mama Lopez provides another generous budget for you guys next year.

As far as I understand, the M/W conflict was me. And like I said, I am willing to do it those days because I'm ok with missing a class there.

Just mentioned it again because I found out about brief relief and I know both Jess and me didn't really want that day because of other stuff going on.

It's fine - if that's what everyone else wants, I'll do it that day no worries. Just threw it out there.

Well, that may make things different, Let's talk today and see if we want to move it to Monday. This may be a touch of a  hassle to get under control, but if we can make the change of dates smoothly to get more people there, I think we should consider it. None of us are really that conceded that we need to be praised publicly for our hard work, but it will help if more people know about it and we can alums out there with a strong showing to help this continue.
