First, please email me your new itineraries. I’d like to have them for my files in case something goes wrong.
Second, Jay was able to change flights and will arrive Friday afternoon (1pm), in time for the party Friday evening. I just got off the phone with AA to make the same change but the last leg of the flight – London to Vienna – is fully booked. In other words, I could not change to arrive earlier so I’ll be getting in at 6pm Friday. I will still try and make the party, though, which starts at 6:30 and has no end time in the schedule. In the event I do not see you at the party let’s plan on meeting in the hotel lobby at 9am Saturday morning.
Third, I strongly suggest getting a week pass for the metro. I think we’ll be going almost everywhere via the metro, particularly “the ring” – an above ground metro that travels in a large circle around downtown that is 2 blocks from our hotel. Keep all your transportation receipts (and Thursday food receipts) so I can try and get it all reimbursed. For the cab receipt from the airport to the hostel make sure to write day/time/departure/arrival/passenger name on the receipt.
Fourth, it would be really useful if you could stop at the Vis Moot Base (walking distance from our hotel) on Friday to get any useful information, particularly directions to each of the venues for the rounds. This will save us a trip Saturday morning.
Finally, have a blast Th and Fri – I’m jealous.
