to Visit Lithuania
Hello everyone,
I have kept this Google Group dormant for a few years now. Well, it
is time to dust off the equipment and get this communication machine
fired up again. I have pulled a few pics and added them to the site
here. You can see them on the files page. I am also going to add
them to the Picasa web album.
We will be moving in high gear to get the next group put together. We
are planning an after Sunday service gathering at the church to
discuss the next mission trip to Birzai, Lithuania. As you will see
the church in Birzai is essentially done. And it looks beautiful.
Even though we only had a small hand in the contribution to getting
this church completed for the people of Birzai, I am ecstatic to see
it complete.
Our next project will be the new remote location of the Pagalbas
Centras. They have purchased a new building in the outer village that
serves the people without transportation. This is the same location
that Ben Eavey's church provided funds for acquiring a van to
transport food items to these people and bring them to church from
time to time. A big round of applause to First UMC in Grand Rapids
for that. That was an amazing gift they provided and I am sure it
will be very well utilized by the new center.
If you have an interest in the mission trip, currently scheduled for
September 2010, please get with me ASAP as space does tend to fill up
and we are somewhat limited to about 12 participants.
So far, we have on the roster,
Broderick Norkus (myself)
Matt Kendall
Pam Barlage (local customs interpretor)
Ilse Place (medical advisor)
I thank you all in advance for your prayers and support as we move
forward on this project. This will be a lot to get done in the next
12 mos, but nothing is impossible with God!
Blessings to you all,
Broderick
