I am developing a application (grid service search engine where user
first check whether specified resources (software and hardware)
available or not..)that will retrieve remote machine configuration and
store in database. Is it possible with Vishwa? If it is yes then is it
require to create two programs like prime.java and primeclient.java.?
Please guide us.

Each Vishwa task is executed on a dynamically chosen grid node. You can get the information on these nodes using a Vishwa job, but no the details of entire set of nodes.

Sincerely,
Harisankar H

Hi,
Inside each Vishwa subtask, you need to invoke the necessary commands to get the system information of the node where the subtask will be executing.

Sincerely,
Harisankar H

I guess you cannot get the node detials in advance. but can get it after the tasks have been run. There is no way to select nodes in the grid by the user . But user can use HPF values to make sure the nodes have neccesary resources to execute..
