Hi everyone

Hope you are all doing well, and busy studying (or bludging) before exams. The first Sunday after the exam period finishes (Sunday 21st November), Vishwaas will be holding its final event of the 2010 calendar. It will be a temple trip combined with a bushwalk. The way it will work is that we will meet as a group at Strathfield station early in the morning, then drive to Helensburgh temple. We will give an offering and serve prasad there. We will then have lunch at the temple.

After lunch we will be travelling to the nearby Royal National Park, where we will be doing a small bushwalk (approx. 3-4km). The following link contains details of the actual walk that we'll be doing.
There's a nice beach along the way, so if you feel like going for a swim, bring your beach clothes. Make sure you bring comfortable walking/running shoes because the trek gets a bit rough in parts.

What: Temple trip & Bushwalk
When: Sunday 21st November, 7am - 7pm
Where: Helensburgh Temple & Royal National Park
How Much: FREE (if you are carpooling, you should chip in for the cost of petrol)

If you are interested in coming, please reply back with the following information:
1) YOUR NAME
2) WHETHER YOU CAN DRIVE OR NOT
3) WHETHER YOU CAN BRING FOOD OR NOT

Thats all for now. If you have any other queries, just let me know. Good luck for exams.

Thanks,
Shankar

Hey guys

Just a reminder that the Vishwaas Temple Trip & Bushwalk is happening in less than 2 weeks. If you intend to come, please remember to email vishwa...@gmail.com the following information:

a) Your name
b) Whether you can drive or not
c) Whether you can bring food

The following is the link to the event page on Facebook
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/event.php?eid=158239764214438

Regarding food, a couple of people have asked about the type of food. The last time we did this, which was 2 years ago, we brought Rice and a few side dishes (e.g. chickpeas, lentils, etc.). However, email us first so we can coordinate. We don't want 10 people bringing chickpeas, with no rice or something like that.

Regarding driving, we will need a few people to volunteer to drive (if possible), so that we can take a couple of cars down there. So if you can possibly drive, it would really appreciated.

Thanks
Shankar

Hey guys

Just a reminder that the Vishwaas Temple Trip & Bushwalk is happening this Sunday. If you intend to come, please let us know by WEDNESDAY 17th NOVEMBER (i.e. TOMORROW).

Email us (or write on the FB event wall) with the following information:

a) Your name
b) Whether you can drive or not
c) Whether you can bring food (to serve as prasad)

Just to reiterate, you are still welcome to come even if you don't reply by Wednesday, but we need to make sure there are enough cars for people. So if you do not reply by Wednesday, you will have to organise your own transport there. We can't guarantee that there will be enough space in cars for you, if you do not let us know by Wednesday.

We will decide after Wednesday what food we will bring, and I'll email/call/sms people who volunteered to bring food to determine what food they should bring.

Also, in regards to the weather. Hopefully the weather should hold off but ....  The event will still go ahead, even if it rains. We will visit the temple anyway and give an offering, but if it rains, then instead of the bushwalk we may choose another option, such as movies, bowling or (depending on the amount of rain) the beach. However, the temple trip will happen regardless.

Thanks
Shankar
