He who is the supreme one and the AtmAn. He does not come within the cause and effect relationship, and He is by nature ever free, pure, and wakeful.

One who offers benefits.
665 OM brahma-vi-vardhanaaya namaH .
Here brahma means tapas. One who promotes or increases (vi-vardhana) tapas (austerity) etc is brahma-vivardhanaaya. These are increased in one who has earned the grace of Srii naaraayaNa, through total surrender and constant devotion.
