If you are familiar with sUrya stuti, it goes- नमः सवित्रे जगदेक चक्षुषे जगत् प्रसूति स्थितिनाश हेतवे।
savitaH is one of Sun God's names.

One who frees jiivaas from bondage and thus saves them from the various trans-migratory paths by bestowing liberation on them.
'viira' means diversified ways, or one who functions in innumerable fields in countless ways. 'ghna' means destroy.
