MOM of ANALYTICS club meeting :

The ANALYTICS club will aim at improving the theoretical and application level knowledge in analytics and thus learn to use business data, to describe, predict, and improve business performance. This in turn will help us rope in better companies and profiles for placements . For this purpose we will learn, share and teach together. 

This club will demand hard work for long hours since we are still in a very nascent level in this field and hence have to learn a lot.

Our sessions will include discussions, classes as well as expert interactions.

The next meeting will be held on 31st Jan 2013 (the coming thursday) after classes. It will be a long session of about more than 3 or 4 hours.

Naman has downloaded some books relating to analytics and he will circulate it among the members. Those who are not comfortable with e-copies can group together and take photostat or buy the book itself.

We can learn the first chapters of the book circulated and discuss it on Thursday. Sushant, Gaurav, Amit and Sharad will most probably take classes on thursday on these topics. If in case they are unable to d so, anybody who have been able to figure out the chapters can pitch in.

 Ramesh sir has given consent to be the faculty-coordinator of the club. He is also going to take first session on thursday from 2-3 pm covering basic statistics.
