The VISCO official release of The Venture Information System version

2.5.1 is slated for delivery to all Network and Web-hosted Customers on
February 24th, 2005. Based on customer demands, requests and
suggestions, we have enhanced the functionality of several areas of the
system while we continue to address the requests of our customers.

Included in this VISCO release is the following enhanced functionality:

Inquiries - Tracking requests from outside the company for product
details, pricing and general information has been added to the Venture
Information System. Available as a function of "Pre-Order Processing,"
Inquiries enable the user to track any data about an inbound request
for information with a level of flexibility unparalleled elsewhere in
the system.

Gross Margin Detail Report - Upon Request, we have made available a
Gross Margin report with Details per Invoice grouped and summarized by
Invoice, By Customer and By Product generated in Microsoft Excel. The
Report breaks down all sales and all cost details (by cost type) per
Invoice generated. Contact VIS Support for more information.

Goods in Transit Valuation Detail Report -We've created a 'Goods In
Transit' Valuation report which breaks down the costs associated with a
venture that is currently in transit (including or not including
accruals). This is a spreadsheet that is stored on the server and can
be accessed on demand from a link outside the system. Contact VIS
Support for more information.

Text on Scans - A VIS User can now fully utilize the scan features
including date and numeric values. If you type '12" and search by any
date field - only December's results will appear in the scan!

Cost Distribution by Accrual - You can now take a container's costs
and distribute those costs against all ventures in that container by
the accrued expense amount associated with venture. If the Duty Bill
for the entire container was $50,000 you can confirm that aligned
exactly with your estimated duty expense for each product on that
container.

And Many More - Based on customer requests and internal wish lists
you'll notice several minor enhancements to the Reports, and in
delivering more descriptive warning messages throughout the system.

The VISCO official release of The Venture Information System version

2.6.0 is slated for delivery to all Network and Web-hosted Customers on
April 20th, 2006. Based on customer demands, requests and suggestions,

we have enhanced the functionality of several areas of the system while

we continue to support the day to day use of VIS by our customers.

Note: In this release, there are several enhancements that may require
additional explanation. Due to recent customer requests, we have
redesigned several key areas of the system. Contact your VIS
Implementation & Support Manager to schedule a training appointment if
you would like to review these enhancements in further detail.

Included in this VISCO release is the following enhanced functionality:

Scan Page Redesign -Every scan page in the system has received a
major overhaul. Though the graphical interface is very similar, there
are several degrees of added functionality making the scan selection
process easier. New features include -

*sorting in Ascending and Descending order.

*Items per display can be selected - 10, 20, 50, 80, or 100 items.

*Filter one column, sort by another. Use the new filtering tool to
select a column to filter against, while you continue to sort by a
different column.

*Drastic reduction in customization time for adding or removing
specific columns from any scans. VISCO expects to reduce the time and
cost for such customizations by two-thirds. Please contact sales and
support for more information.

Product Position Summary Report - We have made available a Product
Position Summary report which summarizes the status of each inbound and
outbound shipment for EVERY product in your system. Run in Excel, this
report gives a net inventory position, including time phased inventory
positions per month for the next six months based on current purchase
and sales commitments, similar to the standard product position. Note:
due to the large amount of data managed in this sheet, it may take
several minutes to load.

Create Delivery Screen redesign - Along with the redesign of the
"Release" scan, the entire Create Delivery screen has received a
usability overhaul as well. Selecting several releases at once,
removing several at once, and an overall increase in speed and
reliability are the focus of this enhancement to the system.

Document Type Management Redesign - A VIS Administrator can now
remove a totally unused document type, edit an un-used document type
name and manage document types in a traditional VIS grid interface.

Partial Sales Returns for Venture/Lot Level tracking without packaging
information - A VIS User can now return portions of a sale to their
original warehouse even without tracking specific packaging information
in the system. The interface is simple and distinctly resembles the VIS
selection of venture portions during Final Matching. If you have
questions about whether this applies to your organization or not, call
your representative for an explanation.

Attention System Administrators - You can now disable the 'right
click' option throughout the VIS system. Due to a growing concern
internally on users attempting to 'refresh' or 'back out' during update
screens without using the VIS interface to do it - we have given
Administrators a choice of continuing to enable, or entirely disabling
the right click menu options within our interface. Though there are
obvious downfalls - not being able to print with a simple mouse click
for example - the benefit of increased reliability and security in the
web environment is so great that we strongly encourage administrators
to consider disabling the 'right click' throughout VIS.

And Many More - Based on additional customer requests, you'll
notice several enhancements to the standard reports, standard VIS
documents, and secondary maintenance pages throughout the system.

VISCO Tip of the Month:

Turning your VISCO Excel/Word Documents into PDF files

>From this location:
http://www.clicktoconvert.com/Download/download.html you can download a
program that will convert an existing Excel or Word document into PDF
format automatically.

You'll need to set up the 'clicktoconvert' printer as your default
printer from Start: Settings: Printer on your PC. With 'clicktoconvert'
as the default printer, simply click the "Print" button from any VISCO
generated Excel document and the document will automatically Print to
PDF and flag as having been printed in VISCO when proceed is then
clicked on the document. Now you'll have a working copy of the document
in PDF on your local machine. Settings within the "click to convert"
program allow you to save the PDF to specific locations as well. From
this program, you can also convert any document into HTML, which some
customers/vendors may prefer to PDF.

There is a trial version for this software, but to use it permanently
it must be purchased. There are also several other listings when you
use a search engine and search on "Excel convert to PDF" each with
their own pros and cons. but we've had success with this particular
program in integrating with VISCO documents.

The VISCO official release of The Venture Information System version

2.6.0.x is slated for delivery to all Network and Web-hosted Customers
on June 8th/9th, 2006. Based on customer demands, requests and

suggestions, we have enhanced the functionality of several areas of the
system while we continue to support the day to day use of VIS by our
customers.

This release includes a list of usability enhancements and
customizations. If you would like further explanation of these
enhancements, you can talk with your VISCO support manager for more
details.

Included in this VISCO release is the following enhanced functionality:

Auto generate a Back Order for your customers - Users can now have the
option of creating a back order during Inventory Allocation or Final
Matching. If the amount being shipped is less than what the customer
asked for, the user is prompted to create a back order (a new SO
Shipment with the adjusted amount) or simply let the discrepancy
between quantity ordered and quantity shipped be stored in the system.
Talk with your VISCO Support Manager to enable this back-order
functionality.

Document Tab Redesigned - The document tab got a major upgrade
throughout the system. Now users can select a set of documents for a
specific type or simply view/edit/delete a document from the same
location within the document grid. For customers who attach several
documents to an entity in VISCO, this should make searching those
documents significantly easier.

Drill down from basic maintenance screens - Product, Customer,
Vendor, and Manufacturer maintenance screens all offer a new listing
of tabs with additional drill down capabilities. From Product View, see
all the sales you've ever made for that product. From a Customer, see
all the Quotes you've sent out. Important Note: The tabs are displayed
based on the permissions of a user to see the associated scan screens
(i.e. a user who cannot see the Quote scan, will not see the Quote tab
in Customer Maintenance).
Warehouse Selection during Inventory Allocation - A user can choose
to fill an entire Sales Order from a single warehouse with only one
drop-down selection. From the Inventory Allocation screen, a user
selects a warehouse dropdown for all open Sales Order Shipments to be
filled. Standard Allocation rules still apply.

And Many More - Based on additional customer requests, you'll
notice several enhancements to the standard reports, standard VIS
documents, and secondary maintenance pages throughout the system.

VISCO Tip of the Month:

Why am I re-directed to HTTPS?

For all webservice customers - we are now requiring that you login
using the secure connection (https). If you attempt to access your
web-service installation of VIS through the
http://viscowebservice.com/companyname login you will now be
automatically be redirected to https://viscowebservice.com/companyname
giving you the added layer of security provided through our security
certificate. For more on the difference between http and https security
layers see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Https.

The VISCO official release of The Venture Information System version

2.6.1 is slated for delivery to all Network and Web-hosted Customers on
July 26th/27th, 2006. Based on customer demands, requests and

suggestions, we have enhanced the functionality of several areas of the
system while we continue to support the day to day use of VIS by our
customers.

This release includes a list of enhancements and customizations. If

you would like further explanation of these enhancements, you can talk
with your VISCO support manager for more details.

Included in this VISCO release is the following enhanced functionality:

Multi-Filter Scans - Now a VISCO user can select multiple filter
options in any scan and have each filter option display in the scan
itself! Simply select your filter option (i.e. - "Name" in the Product
Scan) and choose your filter. After the first filter is applied, you
can select another filter option to apply as well as the first.
Remember, you can always back out if you want to remove your filter
selections by clicking "Show All" on any scan.

New Contact Scan - There is a new contact scan available from the
Sales and Purchases menu that can be enabled for any of your users
simply by using the User Maintenance option in the System Admin Menu.
If the Administrator enables the scan, it will appear under Sales
Elements & Purchase Elements in the users Sales & Purchase Menu.
Selecting the contact scan gives a user the option of filtering and
selecting a specific VISCO contact from any of the VISCO entities
(Vendor, Customer, Freight Carrier etc.). You can view the contact and
their associated entity or simply send a direct email to that contact
(note: only functional if MS Outlook is enabled on your workstation).

Introducing the - You'll notice a new icon spreading through the
system in areas where more information might be helpful. The icon can
be hovered over, giving the user additional information about some
particular function in the VISCO system. Look out for the , as we have
just begun introducing it and intend to fully explore its capabilities
in the next releases leading up to VISCO 3.0!
Certificates of Analysis - General enhancements have been made to
the interface for this area of the system. A focus on usability has
given us a much quicker specification entry screen and more sound PO
and SO spec attaching techniques.

And Many More - Based on additional customer requests, you'll

notice several enhancements to the Quotes, standard VIS documents, and
custom reports throughout the system.

VISCO Tip of the Month:

Delete your ProductPositionClient.xlt file under C:\VISTemplates!

A new version of the Product Position has become available (thanks to
one of our customers) and to use that new product position you'll
simply need to delete your existing ProductPositionClient.xlt file from
your local machine. When you go into the Product Position page next
time in the system, you'll be prompted to download the latest version.
Click "Save" and chose to save to the same C:\VISTemplates folder and
run another position sheet.

Some of the enhancements to the Product Position are:

1) Enter Notes directly into the Position Sheet (click "Save" on
the sheet and these will automatically be saved for all others to see.

2) Add or Remove a Back-to-Back directly in the Position Sheet. No
more going into back to back maintenance to add or remove a
Back-to-Back, a simple dropdown selection (followed by a "Save" click)
will set up the Back-to-Back throughout the system.

3) Quicker Links - make sure to double click any link, and you'll
be brought directly into the entity you are looking for be it Customer,
Vendor, SO, PO, Venture or Release.

The VISCO official release of The Venture Information System version

2.6.2 is slated for delivery to all Network and Web-hosted Customers
between September 29th - October 2nd, 2006. Based on customer demands,

requests and suggestions, we have enhanced the functionality of several
areas of the system while we continue to support the day to day use of
VIS by our customers.

This release includes a list of enhancements and customizations. If
you would like further explanation of these enhancements, you can talk
with your VISCO support manager for more details.

Included in this VISCO release is the following enhanced functionality:

New Sign in/Sign out Rules - When you sign out of one instance of
the application, you sign out of every instance. This means that you
will immediately be able to log in from another machine after
successfully signing out from the previous one. If your machine shuts
down accidentally, you can 'flush' your 'active' logins simply by
signing in then signing back out again once it reboots. This will also
save you from accidentally locking records because those are removed
during any sign-out now as well!

Venture Sort and Filter and Release Sort and Filter Modifications -
Users now have the option of selecting issued orders from the primary
screen. Also, like our scan screens, a minor customization allows our
customers to choose their own columns on the Venture Sort and Filter
results page.

New Custom Reports - The latest custom reports include the 'Quick
Report' which summarizes historical inventory transactions for a single
selected Product, and 'Pending Order Worksheet' which gives a
by-customer view of existing back to back orders and the status of
those shipments during the next month.

And Many More - Based on additional customer requests, you'll
notice several enhancements to the Quotes, standard VIS documents, and
custom reports throughout the system.

VISCO Tip of the Month:

"I don't use that field, but I need this field added."

This is something we hear quite often. Not everyone's needs are the
same and we have put a lot of effort into accounting for your company
and your industry's terminology. With this release, we take that effort
further.

Now there are opportunities to actually change the names of many
existing fields in the system without expensive customizations. If your
company doesn't need an L/C Number field on the container, you can use
it for something else and label it appropriately! Contact your VISCO
representative for more details.

If you have any questions about these enhancements, would like to learn
more about them, or have questions about the progress of your own

enhancements, give us a call at 845-383-3800. A separate email will
confirm the time that VISCO will be releasing the latest application
for your install. Thank you for your time and attention, and for being
