FOZ DO IGUAÇU (BRAZIL) – 13 September 2015 – On the occasion of the XIV International Arbitration Congress of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr), ABEArb, CBAr, ICDR Young & International, ICC-YAF and YIAG-LCIA are pleased to invite you to the Young Event | XIV International Arbitration Congress of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr) in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil on 13 September 2015.  We look forward to welcoming you to a lively debate on current issues in international arbitration and mediation.  The program and registration details can be found attached.

MOSCOW - 17 September 2015 – We are delighted to invite you to the annual ICDR Y&I Seminar in Moscow. This year's Seminar "Resolving Small Claims Without Big Problems: Expedited Procedures in International Arbitration and Litigation" will take place on Thursday, 17 September 2015 at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.  Registration will open at 16:30, with the Seminar running from 17:00-19:00, followed by a cocktail reception.

 

The Seminar will be held in the format of an interactive panel discussion on the peculiarities of resolving small claims in international arbitration and litigation, where the speakers will share their practical experiences and insights. The panel discussion will be preceded by a short key note speech outlining the main thorny issues that arise when facing small yet important claims.

PAPHOS – 18 September 2015 – The first ever ICDR Y&I conference on international arbitration will take place in Paphos, Cyprus on 18 September 2015. The conference, co-organized by ICDR Y&I, ICCA, Young ICCA and ICC YAF, will provide an overview of the practice of international arbitration, including recent issues arising therefrom, from the perspectives of the arbitral tribunal, counsel, the arbitral secretary and the arbitral institutions.

 

During the conference, 22 international arbitration practitioners from around the world will participate as speakers and moderators. The conference will be an ideal forum for practitioners, academics and students interested in or practicing international arbitration to exchange thoughts on international arbitration and to enrich their network in the region.

 

Media Partners of the conference are the Young Arbitration Review, the Transnational Dispute Management and the London Very Young Arbitration Practitioners. The conference is supported by the Cyprus Bar Association, the Paphos Bar Association and the International Hellenic University and co-sponsored by A.G. SAN JOSÉ (COSTA RICA) – 30 October 2015 – ICDR Y&I, the Costa Rican Young Arbitrators Association and the Colegio de Abogados de Costa Rica are jointly organizing an event on the occasion of the Costa Rica “Arbitration Day” on 30 October 2015 from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the Colegio de Abogados, San José, Costa Rica.

 

The program will cover three general topics (I) Commercial Arbitration, (II) Investor-State arbitration, and (III) Sport arbitration.  The event will feature several round tables, including:  (i) Complex arbitrations: Multi-contract, Multi-party and multi-tier dispute resolution clauses, (ii) Enforcement of interim measures, (iii) distinctive features of investor-state arbitrations filed before ICSID, and (iv) arbitration in sport contracts.

SANTIAGO – 26 September 2015 – On the occasion of the Eighth Edition of the International Commercial Arbitration Moot, organized by the University of Buenos Aires and the University of Rosario (Bogotá), ICDR Y&I will be hosting a live version of the Tonight Show's "True Confessions".  The event, “Adivinando la Verdad: Un Workshop del Y&I”, is free of charge and will take place at Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. 

 

 

SÃO PAULO – 1 October 2015 – ICDR Y&I, ICC/YAF, Young ICCA and CAMARB – Corporate Arbitration Chamber Brazil will hold a joint roundtable to precede the oral sessions of the VI Brazilian Arbitration Moot (Competição Brasileira de Arbitragem – http://www.competicao.camarb.com.br/).  The roundtable will take place at Faculdade de Direito da Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado - FAAP, in the city of São Paulo, Brazil.  Further information on the event topics and speakers will follow soon.
