I also have 3 pieces that will be in the Fine Arts Bldg. at The Big Fresno Fair running October 5-16, 2016. Come see “Reasons
Why”, “unnecessary definition” and
“Into this house we’re born” all
available for purchase.
ALL my art works are for
SALE.
At the beginning of
this month, September 3rd, I had a solo critique of my art in LA at my home
gallery the Los Angeles Art Association/Gallery 825. I received valuable and favorable feedback on
several of my works which included my entire “human:nature” series, 3 from my “::selective
memory::” series and 2 from my “incessant wallpaper” series. Transporting all of these pieces and setting
up at Gallery 825 was an adventure, and I appreciate everyone involved who made
this run smoothly for me. I was
presented ideas for future promotion and exhibition.
I was also recently
the subject of a commercial shoot done by Jeffrey Scott Agency/Advertising,
both at my studio painting and on location at a doctor's office. It was a commercial for Cal Viva Health. Being
paid to play myself/an artist; not a bad gig! I look forward to seeing the finished commercial
on tv. If anyone sees it, please let me
know . . .
Next week, I will be a guest on the “Artists and Authors”
show on www.centralvalleytalk.com
on Thursday, Sept. 22nd at 11am.
I will be interviewed about my art, exhibitions and I’ll be sharing some
images of my work.
Meanwhile, I continue
work on new art in my studio, and continuing my regular travels to LA for
art business with galleries that already show my work and meeting other
galleries that are interested. I also
continue as a member of an Artist Critique Group with fellow Los Angeles Art
Association members meeting at various LA locations. Sponsored by the LAAA/Gallery 825, we meet
monthly to critique our work and plan for a future show at an LA Gallery where
a professional art critic will review our work and our show will open to the
public for a reception. We recently
stepped up our meetings to finish in December and will have our culmination
exhibition/reception and critique at TAG Gallery at Bergamot Station in
December. You’ll see an invite for that
coming later.
Most
importantly, I continue my work to sell my art, (which helps me pay bills,
purchase supplies and to be able to attend art events in LA).
Please feel
free to ask me about any of my work if you are interested.
And remember, I am always willing to work out payments with you.
Thanks for reading,
Aileen
