Finally, Fall has arrived, and it is a very busy time.

August had me showing 4 of my art pieces in a special event in Hayward, CA from which I had a sale! Yay!  And that continued a few other sales which helped me get started in another venture I’ll mention later. All sales are always so appreciated, which is why I am always willing to work out payment schedules with individuals to make the total prices more affordable over time.

In September I exhibited my art at Broadway Studios, Downtown Fresno. It was a One Night Only Pop Up Show for the September ArtHop and I sold another 2 pieces!
I also displayed 2 pieces at the Selma Arts Center during the run of the play “Real Women Have Curves”.

And now October is off and running with several new items in my career. Let’s start with October 1st, the start of my representation by Shoebox PR. In September I signed with this agency based in Los Angeles to represent me and my art work. It is an exciting change that will hopefully bring my art more fully to an expanded audience. One of the things they did right away was to create an Instagram account for me @aileenrodriguezimperatrice. You can find that here:  https://www.instagram.com/aileenrodriguezimperatrice/?hl=en
Two of my artworks "growth patterns" and "before the door" are also currently on display at the Big Fresno Fair in the Fine Arts Building through the end of the week, October 14th.  I always enjoy showing my work at the Fair, having won awards over the years and I’ve also made sales in the past as my work is seen by the thousands who attend. 1121 S. Chance Ave. Fresno, CA 93702. Admission information and hours can be found on their website:  https://www.fresnofair.com/
Another big announcement is the wonderful surprise I had in learning I will be awarded a 2018 Horizon Award by the Fresno Arts Council at a ceremony at the Tower Theater 815 E. Olive Ave., Fresno, CA 93728 on Sunday, October 14th! The event begins at 4pm, where the winners will be introduced, accompanied by a recently done video interview and there will be a reception immediately following. My husband Tony and several of my creative friends nominated me! I am so humbled and grateful! And would love to see you there! Tickets for the event are available through https://horizonawards.brownpapertickets.com/ or by calling the Fresno Arts Council office at (559) 237-9734. You can read the public announcement here: https://munroreview.com/2018/10/03/well-snap-2018-horizon-awards-are-announced/ Thank you to Donald Munro for breaking the story!
Then the following week, on Friday, October 19th, I am honored to have been asked to be a guest panelist (part of a very esteemed panel) for the CSU Fresno Henry Madden “Library After Hours Art Program”.  I will be the featured working artist on the panel, my art will be on solo display for the event and I will speak to the topics of working as an artist, art in Fresno, being an alumnus to CSU Fresno and an arts supporter. The invite can be found here:  https://www.facebook.com/events/699158953782579/

There is still another big announcement that includes the reason for an almost secret photo shoot of one of my paintings to be part of a special Los Angeles publication to come out soon.  More information will be revealed on this, hopefully very soon. Also more shows to come.

You can see my art and find out what I’m doing through My Website: www.aileenimperatrice.com
as well as through regular postings on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/aileenri

I also invite you to visit my Artist Member Page with the Los Angeles Art Association/Gallery 825 here:
As well as this notice on the Studio C Gallery website:

Meanwhile, I continue my work to sell my art, (so I can pay bills, purchase supplies and to be able to attend my art events in LA).
ALL my art works are FOR SALE.
Please feel free to ask me about any of my work if you are interested.
And remember, I am always willing to work out payments with you.

I promise to keep my art career busy as I continue to look forward to new opportunities and sales.

Thanks for reading,
Aileen
