It's 2017 and here we go . . .

January has been time well spent working on new ideas and creating some new art.  One of which has just been accepted into the show "Red Hot Wicked" at Studio C Gallery in the Santa Fe Art Colony, Downtown Los Angeles, starting February 6th and continuing through March 4th, 2017.  The Opening Reception will be Saturday, February 11th, 6-9pm.

You can find the Facebook invite with all the details through this link:

I've also spent time this month following up on new contacts, entering art submissions for new galleries and planning art exhibits both in Fresno and LA.  As the days continue, I expect to keep creating new art in my studio, and continue trips to LA.

I invite you to visit my Artist Member Page with the LAAA/Gallery 825 here:  Aileen Imperatrice

or you can see my art and find out what I’m doing through my website: www.aileenimperatrice.com
as well as through regular postings on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/aileenri

Update:  The group show "On an Odd Night" with my fellow LAAA Critique Group members at TAG Gallery in late December, in which I exhibited 5 new pieces, was fantastic! We had a great crowd attend our reception and learned much from our guest critic. We've decided as a group to make an effort to keep in touch with each other and plan a reunion show later this year.

Meanwhile, I continue my work to sell my art, (which helps me pay bills, purchase supplies and to be able to attend art events in LA).
ALL my art works are FOR SALE.
Please feel free to ask me about any of my work if you are interested.
And remember, I am always willing to work out payments with you.

On a personal medical note, my husband Tony and I are also doing what we need to do to prepare for our kidney transplant surgeries. As of the most recent test results this month and appointments with his nephrologist, along with our meetings with our transplant team, we are now looking at March.  Meanwhile most of our finances are being absorbed by the continuing, escalating medical costs. While the wait can be frustrating, our doctors assure us it is the right thing to do.

Thanks for reading,
Aileen
