Summer is in full swing:
May encompassed the
final weeks of my solo show “A Second Chance” at the Betty Rodriguez Library
and I want to thank everyone at the library for making my stay there fun.
May also contained an
almost secret photo shoot of one of my paintings which will be included in a
special Los Angeles publication to come out in the fall. More information will be revealed on this in
the next month.
June and July had me
working on new art, while selling a few older pieces. I’ve also had 4 of my art pieces taken to be
featured in a special event in Hayward, CA in August.
I had work included in
the very prestigious Los Angeles Art Association Anniversary Show in July, with
that same work featured on Paddle8. You may remember seeing my promotional
posts on Facebook. I attended the packed reception at Gallery 825, Saturday,
July 28th.
Just prior to this I was
invited to be a guest interview for the CSU Summer Arts Visual Storytelling
class and was subsequently chosen by two of the students to have my art and
kidney story told for their Student Culmination. My husband Tony was also included in the
final product and we both were in attendance of the public showing inside John
Wright Theater.
My husband and I are
still in the midst of our 1 year (July 25th) anniversary checkups
from our kidney surgeries in 2017. This
involves appointments with our local doctors, labs and with UCSF.
In August I’ll be
producing new work for an upcoming show in LA and I’ll be preparing for an
exhibit of my art at Broadway Studios, Fresno in September. Come see me and my art at September ArtHop!
I also invite you to
visit my Artist Member Page with the Los Angeles Art Association/Gallery 825

As well as this notice
on the Studio C Gallery website:
Meanwhile, I continue my
work to sell my art, (so I can pay bills, purchase supplies and to be able to
attend my art events in LA).
ALL my art works are FOR
SALE.
Please feel free to ask
me about any of my work if you are interested.
And remember, I am
always willing to work out payments with you.
I am continuing to get
my art career busy again. I’m looking forward to new opportunities and
sales.
Thanks for reading,
Aileen
