As most of you know, my husband Tony and I are preparing for our upcoming kidney surgeries, (me to donate, him to receive) and this has involved countless meetings with our doctors, whole transplant teams both in Fresno and at our transplant hospital, along with mountains of paperwork, and frequent medical tests, which has meant little time for me to keep up with my updates.  So here are my past due updates for March and April which will give you some information on what I’m also doing in May and June.

Thanks again to Studio C Gallery in the Santa Fe Art Colony, Downtown Los Angeles for exhibiting my art work “Latina Curves/(un)intentional disintegration” in the show "Red Hot Wicked" which ended in March.  It was a wonderful show and I was glad to be there to enjoy the reception.
The rest of March and April has had me working out my next series, assembling materials and getting my mind in order for the next direction.

Starting tomorrow (Wednesday), I will be the Los Angeles Art Association/Gallery 825 Featured Artist.  You’ll find my art on the front page scroll of their website and under Current Exhibits – LAAA Featured Artist - from April 26th through April 28th.  The gallery will also be sending out promotional emails featuring my work and a link to my website.  Wonderful to be recognized! Look for it at: https://www.laaa.org/

Saturday, April 29th I will be setting up my work at the JWL FM Gallery, Downtown Fresno for a month long group show with the Opening Reception ArtHop Thursday, May 4th from 5-8pm.  I will be exhibiting my entire series “Incessant Wallpaper” for the month of May.  To find the map to the JWL FM Gallery you can visit their website:  http://www.kjwl.com/#!the-gallery

Then in June, I will have a solo show at the Betty Rodriguez Library, Fresno.  More info to come soon.

In my daily business, I continue to make new contacts, enter art submissions and am planning more art exhibits both in Fresno and LA.  As the days progress, I expect to keep creating new art in my studio, and taking more trips to LA.

I invite you to visit my Artist Member Page with the LAAA/Gallery 825 here:
or you can see my art and find out what I’m doing through my website: www.aileenimperatrice.com
as well as through regular postings on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/aileenri
Meanwhile, I continue my work to sell my art, (which helps me pay bills, purchase supplies and to be able to attend art events in LA).
ALL my art works are FOR SALE.
Please feel free to ask me about any of my work if you are interested.
And remember, I am always willing to work out payments with you.

Thanks for reading,
Aileen
