After the passing of my Mom in November 2019 and laying her to rest towards the end of that month, I thought I would be grieving and launching into new work expressing my feelings about this. But little did I know what was suddenly in store for me. Coming out of this, I found just a couple of weeks later that I have Cancer. And once again my life is in crisis mode. I am currently undergoing Chemo treatments and trying to focus on my health as well as keep my art career going. If you would like to follow my health journey, you can read my Facebook posts through my page: https://www.facebook.com/aileenri And if you are so moved to want to contribute financial help towards my mounting medical bills, you can do so through a GoFundMe page set up by my husband Tony here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/aileen-battles-cancer?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link-tip&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet
As I shared in my last update, I never regretted making the choice to help care for my Mom during her last year. However, in doing so it meant that I had to put my career aside. This led to a slowdown for 2019.
Life moves forward.
