How To Join the First Session

Hi all.

I'll turn on Skype and OpenRPG some time before 18:00 GMT Thursday
(tomorrow).

My skype account name is ShiritYair - just look for me and call me up,
and I'll add everyone to a conference call.

On OpenRPG, I can't seem to start a server so I'll use a public one.
Connect to "OpenRPG Veav I", and then join the room "Rathra". I'll be
there.

I feel really stupid right now, because I did the math backwards and
missed the time of the session entirely...

I am in Brazil, which is -3GMT, so 18:00 GMT would be 15:00 for me
(which is not possible since I am working then).

For some stupid reason I did the math as +3GMT, so that 18:00 would be
21:00 for me (20:52 as I write this message) and I kept checking on
Skype to see if Yair was online already.

Then I decided to google GMT to be re-check if I wasn't mistaken or
something and voila... I WAS mistaken.

I am very sorry guys...


Er... when is our next session? :(

Hi Yan - we waited for an hour or so and then split... the good news is you
didn't miss anything. :(

Our next session... well, I'll to check but I believe next Friday is open
for me. Now that you know the right time, at what times can you play?

Fridays at 18:00 (15:00 my time) is fantastic for me.

Monday to Thursday I can't be here before 23:00 GMT, and I'm guessing
this is too late for everybody else.

As for the weekends, it gets tricky because of my local ArM group and
my girlfriend... but something could be worked out, I suppose.

This Friday I have a teacher's meeting and a parent-teacher meeting to
attend to, so I have an open window from 16:45 to 19:45 my time, which
translates into 19:45 to 22:45 GMT

Do we have a session Friday sometime?

Feel free to start at 18:00 GMT and I'll catch up when I get here!

Hmm. I'm rather behind scheduale at work, and you apparently can only
come a little late. I'm gonna check with Amir (and get to him answer
emails already) - what about you, Jean? Can you play tomorrow?

If there are further problems, I'd delay the game. If not, we'll play
on Friday 18:00 GMT as schedualed.

Paulo time, 20:00 Jerusalem time ;) ;) ;) ).

I have been working on a Merchant Adventurer companion (he's almost
finished, but I still need to put his background into words). If you
don't mind Yan, I'll have him meet Tiberius before he goes to Rethra
so he already has a contact into the covenant.

I will also try to quickly write up a grog to acompany Darko.

Yair, how do you feel about playing multiple characters during the
same session?

Amir can't play this weekend, leaving us with you, a late Jean, a work-
loaded me, and ...

LucasTremre? What about you?

If we will have two players from the start, we can start playing and
have Yan join us. Otherwise, I think it would be better to start at
19:45. At any rate, it will be a short session, a prelude if you will.

I feel it's part of being a storyguide.

You can, but I rather you won't play two main characters for now. A
magus and a grog or two is really quite enough to handle. If you'll
want to play two main characters in a specific adventure for some
reason, however, I want have a problem with that.

Well for me its ok on friday exept for 1 thing, i will be free only at
8 pm here, I live in switzerland and i think this is 7pm at GMT 0. If
its ok for you.(specal this friday i hvae an appointment and for that
i will be able to get back home ony at that time, if nothin go wrong).

That's too late for me (it's 02:00 at the night!). Is this true every
Friday? Then you can't make the 18:00 GMT time. Which isn't good.
We'll need to try to find a time that regularly works for all of us.

We have the option of playing a short prelude at 19:45, with just Yan
and Jean. I would like to really start the saga next Firday, though,
when at least Amir can be there too. So if any of you two would not
like to play two weeks in a row, or would prefer to just start the
saga without a prelude, let us know before the session starts (by
emailing the list).

Momment, something must be wrong. Look, I have an appointment from
5:30 GMT 0 to 8 GMT 0, so i can play before this time and i can play
after this time. I thought everybody was talking about GMT 0. I really
don't know what you mean when you write "GMT" whithout a number, i am
sorry.

I think I missed the "pm" in your last post. Everyone is talking about GMT
+00:00. I am living in GMT + 02:00, so 18:00 GMT +00:00 is 20:00 GMT +
02:00, i.e. 8 pm for me. 7pm at GMT +00:00 is 19:00 GMT, so just an hour
after the original start time, which is fine. Is this your NORMAL possible
time, or can you usually play one hour sooner, at 18:00 GMT +00:00 ?

*** The game will start at 19:45 GMT (+00:00) ***, at the same server as
last time. Since we'll have three players but short time, I'm not sure
wether I'll do the prelude or the planned beginning of the saga. We'll see.

Ok, good. No only today i have this appointment. But usually i have
free time(I am a vagabond, my grandmother would say) so sure next time
i can organize my self bettre and be there at 18, if planed :D. Thanks
