Activation scrips not copied to bin/ when creating new virtualenv

I am using Virtualenvwrapper 4.5.0 and I'm noticing that when I create a new virtualenv:
mkvirtualenv text
when I cdvirtualenv there are no scripts (postactivate, preactivate etc.) in the ./bin/ folder.
Has anyone any idea why this might be?
