Hi Heather,

You're now an owner for the VirtualCrisisCamp group.

Jim: I'll be setting up the Humanitarian Data Portal task at the start of camp this morning - by the time you wake up, we should have a well set out list of things that need to be done for it.  And thank you again for volunteering!

Thanks,

Sj.

HI all,  I asked Spike if ustream or skype chat could be set up for the London Crisis Camp tomorrow. Or, do you use irc.http://irc.rhok.org/ ? Jim, if these items are in place, you could participate virtually at the same time as the London Camp.  This is how I volunteered on January 23rd when my city didn't have a camp.

In the meantime, Spike/Sara, can you connect with Jim and advise him on the above.

I hear you that the virtual process is not quite set up yet. I do promise you that it is on my agenda for the community working group.  Chad, Heather and I completely agree that virtual workers could have an amazing impact.

As we grow, this will improve.  Truth be told: the skeleton virtual worker process was set up in January.  We are a whole new Crisis commons since then. It definitely needs revision.  Sara: thanks for setting up the google group. Can I have admin rights please? Maybe if there are two of us working toward this the experience will improve.

Thanks

heather

Hi Heather,

Sara referred me to you (again?) about participating in the London CC remotely. I was interested in the Humanitarian Data Portal project as a possible database technical resource. Dont know how far they are, or what additional work needs to be done. Would consider contributing if it can be worked out.

Thanks.
