Speaker Bio for this week. Who is and what makes this Billy McCafferty
guy tick?
Well he is a long time developer and a hopeless romantic when it comes
to writing beautiful software. Billy currently leads a double life
between helping to run a small training and consulting company known
as Codai (which will be getting a new website very very soon) and
filling the role of lead developer and architect with Parsons
Brinckerhoff. After Billy gets his life back – which should be after
the release of S#arp Architecture 1.0 – expect to see him soon at
ALT.NET and other development conferences.

He will be demonstrating the latest cut of S#harp Architecture 1.0
with a 45-50 minute non-PPT presentation.

Bring your opinions and attention. Questions and Answer will be served
also. The drinks as usual are up to the participants.

Should be a fun evening. See you all there.

Meeting details.

John,

I am NOT bitching here. I really appreciate all that you do.

I am wondering if it would be possible to publish a Google calendar or something so that I could add the appointments to my own calendar. I am always nervous about not having the right time zone or whatever when putting this on my own calendar. I am a notorious fumbler of filling in the right data.

Again, not a complaint. Just wondering if it would be an easy add. If not, forget it. Not huge.

It is pretty much done. You can see a calendar link at the bottom of the
google group page, and you can use that url to subscribe it into your
own google calendar and it converts the time zones and daylight savings etc.

Currently the weekly VAN and the paper bag thing are in it.

This is GREAT. Thank you.

For some reason it errors when I add it, but I'll play with it more later. Thanks, Kurt.

I had the same issue. Once you open the calendar, click the Google
Calendar icon way in the bottom right corner. That should add it to
your calendar for you.

Thanks all. Zach and I are working on getting a site pushed out which
is mostly done and has the calendar capabilities embedded within the
site with the functionality you are looking for. We are having some
minor issues with GoDaddy that is slowing the rollout.

Regards,
John

Is this meeting going to be recorded and shared somewhere afterwards ? I'm in totally different timezone and it's impossible for me to hear it live.
thanks

Yes, it was a very insightful meeting. Billy did a great job, and we
had a really good turnout. The recording should be up soon in case
you missed it.

Where are the recordings for the meetings? I click the link to see
past recordings, but there is nothing to download?

When it gets put up (I don't think it has been yet), it will be on http://www.virtualaltnet.com/

(as a side note to whomever is running that site, somebody is registering stuff twice into windsor, it is giving me a yellow screen of death).

The testers where I work call those screens Lemon Meringues... Which I find hilarious!
