to Virtual Radar Server Announcements
This version fixes a couple of bugs, including one where the trace for
an aircraft would stop being updated on the iPhone map after its
details had been viewed, and adds the following new features:
1) Support for UPnP - disabled by default, when enabled and used with
broadband routers that support UPnP this allows you to put Virtual
Radar Server onto the Internet without having to manually configure
port forwarding on your router.
2) Support for displaying pictures of aircraft in the list, the
aircraft details panel and on the report's aircraft detail panel. You
need to supply the pictures, just tell VRS where they are.
3) Added a German translation of the server's user interface.
4) Worked around long and / or "scribble" traces generated for
aircraft that are transmitting erroneous positions, or for receivers
that are generating erroneous positions for aircraft. If an aircraft
appears to move between two points at an impossibly high speed then
its trace is reset.
5) Updates can now be paused and resumed from the browser, the
intention being that it should be easier to select aircraft on the
iPhone's plane list.
Thanks,
Andrew
