processing output from command line MC code

I'm trying to run a command line spatial frequency domain MC simulation with two layers and I'm having some trouble. First, I don't see an infile for R(fx). Second, when I try to process the data using mc_post infile=infilename outname=outfilename, I get a message that it was "completed with errors" and I don't see any output anywhere. I don't think I know how to convert the output of the simulations into the right form to input into the postprocessing code. It seems like I need to use "geninfiles" but I don't know what the arguments of that command are supposed to be.
