Unfair Response of Virtual University

Dear Students!
I want to share something happened with me at university end.
Before admission i have communicated with LOGIX Sargodha management about course selection and other criteria.
They told me about first semester fee is round about 110$ for Overseas students. My mother submitted my fee for 1st semester of MIT.
Now i am having two more fee vouchers to be pay before 10 May.
My question is that from all of you
Is it right or wrong?
I am not in Pakistan living abroad and it does not means here Dollars grew on trees.
Not only about fee assignments and quizzes of subjects are totally without guidance.
Today i lost my assignment just due to that i was unaware from proper procedure how to submit and how to save my html coded file on note pad with window seven.
I searched a lot but found nothing.
In assignments it is clearly mentioned that provide your answer to the point but in 1st assignment of ENG101 there was question that
Here if you will see uni need steps i sent my assignment with to the point answer but after checking of my assignment teacher sent me solution in which they have written history of Dictionary/Lexicon.
Why they done like that as i given answer from lectures material not by any website but they sent me in solution material taken by web via google.
I am having some experience in SEO and verified answer was from a website.
Why university have no proper management especially for Overseas Students.
Please dear students anyone knows how to hire my petition in University Court?
One thing more about fee and other problems i have contacted university but only formal replies .
It sounds that we are not paying fees or if we are paying than our fee is not from our blood money.
I will also share that some students female students are here which are making fool to boys .
Why this is happening here it is not a social network its university platform.
Three girls have taken solutions of assignments from me and after submission of assignments they have done they have shown their bloody nature.
So guys please do not make fun of others all boys and all girls are not same i respect all but not those 3 girls.
Anyway thanks a lot for reading all please your opinion is having value for me.
Some assignments results are still not declared some quizess are pending.
All overseas students please if you are feeling same problems than submit your opinions .
Maybe by this ways University can take action.

these problems are not only happning with you all these problems are also effected us we are also not informed about these fee structures. we are also facing the problems of marks in gdb the total marks of gdb mgt301 was 1 before end date and
after this it is showing 20 as total marks we inform about this problem to sir but his reply disoppointed us.

might be in some point u r right i m also student of VU and doing MBA (3.5 Years) brother i have only one problem from VU the syllabus cover timing is very tuff u know our mid term papers r start from 11 May and VU give load of pressure (Assignmnet, quiz, GDB ) NOW its time for prepration of midterm exam but every student is in tension to submit their assignmnet and quiz or gdb they all have only one tension that is alot of assignmet, quiz and gdb pressure specially in exam days and vu also declare the result of assignment v late
)

the fee we paid for the very first time was not including semester fee in it.
In Pakistan it was 10700
Now from last month Semester fee 14500 is to be paid whether cash or in installments.
I hope you knew before you paid the fee that the fee didn't include semester fee.
But, you should better contact the VU Administrations to solve your problem.
Here, on this forum, everyone will give you fake advices and it'll be only wastage of time.

You can save your Html file of note pad with the following steps
click on the save as in the file option when you are working with note pad, than save as this file as abc.html on your dekstop.
than open this file from your dekstop. this file will be shown as internet explorer.

but at the time of admission v just told that v have to pay First time 10550 (for Mcs) nd after that Per smister Rupes 10050, thay should tell us about these charges now before 10 my i have to pay 12450 thats not fair.

i agree wid u maria amin m also v upset becoz the syllabus z v tough nd mid term ll b started 4m 11th nd uni also gv pressure of assignment n quiz now how can we prepare our exams nicely...becoz ov dis load i left my job... i hv done m.edu nd now doing mcs 4m vu wch z v difficult 4 me... sooooo mch burden i wanted to b a fashion designer ...i m also gud in computer there4 one ov my sr gv advise do mcs 4m vu ...hoooo n now doing mcs 4m vuuuuuu…:(((

m v weak in Calculus and Analytical Geometry and in lec they didnt tell many things ...4 example in mth 101 they didnt tell how can we use mathtype etc etc they know that many of the students are nt regular its their duty to tell us abt these things..bt we start searchng on difrnt websites 4 help...n sometime our 4ndz help us...

by the way, can some please tell me if there is a decent study group especially about calculus with whom i could coordinate ?

$110 is only admission fees. For semester you need to pay separately. Best option to inquire any thing is, directly e-mail to university admission or accounts section, that's what I did and information was clear.

Brother same feeling and same problem here. I also thought that fee is just 1000 Rs. but now i have two pending vouchers of 555$. I know nothing about submitting the dues and these are getting high and high. All this makes this university very highly paid university isn't it? and they have very tight schedule of assignments, quizzes, GDBs and lectures. Handling all this stuff along with job is very difficult. Means if we can follow all this schedule then why to study in Virtual university if it is not even helping us to cope with our work and study at the same time. Moreover the students are using this platform as social network I fully agree with you at this point. we should ask the administration to minimize the traffic of course work means 4, 5 assignments a week along with other stuff is getting very very tough to be handled.............. :( :( (:

It is true, but the addmission fee + security fee that you paid other
then monthly fee the monthly fee you will pay every month before 10 of
date. dont confused dear i am so poor but faces all these problems in

Brother did you taken the orientation which is available on the www.youtube.com/vu I think NOOOO.
2nd - you must visit on DAILY means DAILY your VULMS.
3rd - you must check you VULMS all features and go through "thoroughly"
Then you will have enough knowlege and behaviour of your VULMS.

Well ,the same thing happened to me but I held myself responsible for it ,the vu website clearly states 30 dollars per credit hour on their website and no of credit hours are 3 for every course ,we should throughly read the information before taking up admission anyways I absolutely love vu I guess even though fees is much higher for overseas students ,it s really worth it guys.....

VU Management has no concern with how we cover lectures they are just seeking fees not only from Pakistan also from abroad students .
I haven,t covered all lectures and now tomorrow is exam.
Now all of us have to prove what they got from 22 lectures .
Overseas students please be patience as i have not paid fee only 110$ i have paid all of you have to do the same.
Their is no late fee charges on semester fee i have confirmed so now i will submit fee in September.

1st thing why all timings are according to PST?
Why they are not showing us our timings as i am in KSA here time is below 2 hours from PST why they are showing submission timings as PST?
No facility or guideline for over seas students really i have checked examination system of world-class universities no one have objection on laptop webcam.

Well it is clearly stated in exam instructions that external webcam is allowed and webcam installed in laptop is not allowed ,it's your fault clearly and btw you don't need to buy special laptop just buy a webcam and attach it to your laptop.....

My dear brother am also a overseas student before in dubai and its ur fault not uni fault because thay clearly tell in instruction that internal cam of laptop is not allowed u have to fix a external cam for papers

I had also very bad experience yesterday while appearing in Midterm exam. for some reason exam conductor was not able to logon to my teamviewer and he was keep asking for password and saying that I am not giving him correct password. after sometime he started giving me warnings to block my paper. my exam software was also giving me errors to resume connection. I kept moving with my paper and completed but I dont know now if he has canceled it or not??
Now if he is not able to logon tu yaar its not my fault, and they start giving warnings very quickly without realizing that our paper time clock is also running. these all situations put us in pressure while solving paper. and I am sure no one can give 100% output in pressurized environment.

Yes i m doing job of 4 hours and at home i do the work whole night for my job.. i only study during my exams and before the exam date. and i got CGPA above 3.40..
in first semster i got 3.67
in second i got 3.43 (with one subject containg c grade)
and in third i got 3.45 (with one sujct containing C grade)
the university onl,y demands conceptual answers.. just read your lecture thoroughly.. dont try to learn anything except quotes or definitions' main features or points and write your own...
i bet that you would definitly get more than 70% as i get..

Dear Kamran (and all others): This message is just to show how much VU administration cooperated with me.
There was a technical flaw in some GDB posting. Fault was not mine nor even VUs. It was a flaw in system. My GDB was wasted and I was very much worried as I prepared well for that. Now it’s a clear policy that no GDB will be taken again in any case. I just emailed course coordinator, concerned at IT department and some other related persons to describe the whole story. Exclusively I mentioned to teacher that I wanted to post this answer but because of system shortcoming it did not go through. Guess what………….VU management not only responded to me, but they even changed their policy………they considered my GDB Post which was the second attempt as well as emailed in general (not in particular to the course coordinator)
Yes there are issues and they vary on case to case basis. The thing is how we deal it.
Coming to ur points…
1. U r not the only one who is employed yet student. Lots of candidates are there. I myself am working person. Everyone has his/her own duties. We should tackle them and manage them effectively.
2. My aim is not to make anyone face down. I see soft heartedness and caring attitude in u. U are just blunt or we should say ur attitude is blunt. No problem. Many of us do have this trait. Being employed and having professional experiences makes us practical in problem dealing yet being modest. We should use public ethics at public forums. Scolding VU or some other colleague is never appreciated rather it cast a very bad impression of system and degrades our social values.
3. Fees issue is solved. U have been miss informed about fee structure or miss interpreted it. At first look I also surprised to see my fee voucher. But i just revisited fee related info at VU web. Everything was given very openly and clearly. Yes there are individual issues like one has more fee to pay other less. Again I would say, this differs on case to case basis. Everybody have different prerequisites for different semester so the fee would also be different accordingly.
4. As for as the dollar (US $) issue is concerned, its not VU policy. Its state policy to collect fee in US $ from candidate pursuing studies from abroad (even Afghanistan or Zimbabwe). VU management cannot do anything in this regard.
5. Coming back to facilitation for foreign students. The technological facilitations like VULMS, VU Mail, VU UAN are same for in-home students as well as foreign students. Personal facilitations are provided by the PVC (Private Virtual Campuses). That’s totally a private venture. VU cannot force any person to open a franchise or have some investment in business. Well it seems very logical too from marketing point of view that y somebody should invest if there is no market. As u mentioned ur nearest colleague is in Riyadh. Does it make sense to have PVC at Riyadh or at ur city just for serving an idividual. Conclusively saying, a PVC is authorized only if 30 or more students or expected to be facilitated (VU Policy for PVC). However VU relaxes this policy and allowed the most sarcastic situations. Like I'm in Larkana and the only student of MIT In this sem. Total strength of all courses and all semesters from this PVC is not more than 20. In Pakistan we have numerous cities where no PVC is available. One can check the list of available PVC at VU web.
6. Timing issue is again very logical one. There has to be some standard time. This may be universal, PST or any standard. Choice goes to the most beneficial one. That of course is PST. To allow individual timings or more flexible timing is not practicable to the extent that u are asking about. VU already allowed every student to be in definite time brackets like GDB Quizzes Assignments etc. A step further for selecting date sheet there are multiple options available. Need of hour is just to manage things.
7. I'm sorry for ur paper blockade. Rather everybody is sorry for that. In ur particular situation I would like to say two things
a. Every instruction is given prior the exam. We must go through it again and again till we understand even a single word of it. If any thing arises, whole lot of concerning technical and facilitators at VU are there. List can be found at Contacts tab at VU web.
b. Technically speaking, there are situations for which one needs to visually verify things. As technology can be defeated by superior technology. I myself am using 4 PCs integrated to each other. (This is not networking. Its parallel computing. Current evolved form is multi core processing. Premierly it was used as Distributed Calculation Framework DCF. Now u would think how I m using such advance thing at Larkana. Well technology againJ. By the way its not that advanced as it looks. All of u have known how a projector (or multiple display/output) is utilized with single CPU and single input system in presentations seminars/conferences. DCF is just having integrated multiple Inputs with same no of multiple CPUs and only one display/output.
So I would recommend, be self-managed. Everything will alright. Any further issue that u might find problematic, I`m here. I would try my best to give u an answer or guidance

I am paying my fee from my income my sallary its not stollen money nor my dad paying i am seeking problem and that,s it .
external cam was also attached via wifi and that examiner made me clear but suddenly he blocked coz i was not having that kind of cam as uni wants.
Anyone knows that fee in dollars they are taking and no books no teacher,s personal contact and no early response to overseas students why?
