Sims 4 keeps crashing after i played for 1 minute. The game freezes for 1-2 seconds and then crashes. I have repaired the game, done app recovery -> clear cache, reinstalled sims but it still doesn't work. It started yesterday suddenly after playing for a few hours (with one crash), and now i can't play at all because it crashes almost right away. I have never had this problem before transferring to the EA app, but since then it has crashed a few times, just not this severely as it does now.

@AliceBjorkenstam Did you add any content back in other than your saves? If so, please try with only the saves present, nothing else. If the game still crashes, please leave your saves in place but start a new save instead, for testing purposes. (This is a different test than before because your saves are present even though you're not loading them.)

Make sure your pc meets the system requirements to run the game. If you have any cc or mods installed, try removing them and test out your game to see if it keeps crashing.
I don't know much about the ea app but from what you've said, it does seem that switching to the ea app might have triggered this issue. I'm going to keep an eye out for anyone else having the same issues.

@AliceBjorkenstam So it seems like some other people have had issues with their game crashing after switching to the EA app, but so far no fix. Here is a thread that may be helpful for you: -Issues-PC/FAQ-Sims-4-Crashes/td-p/3586547

Along with with the thread says, here are some different things to maybe try, but of course be careful and make backups of everything!

@Stellybelly12 I'm not sure what the point of doing a screen recording is. The OP already explained their issue quite clearly, so we don't need to see for ourselves, and screen recording software can be demanding enough to affect how well Sims 4 runs and therefore complicate the troubleshooting process.

@AliceBjorkenstam The Sims 4 crashes in your dxdiag aren't definitive, but they suggest the issue might be the driver for your graphics card. You already have the newest driver, so you'd need to do a clean uninstall and reinstall.

Since that's a bit complicated, please first try playing in a clean user folder, that is if you haven't already. It's less likely to fix these errors, but it's possible, and this is a much simpler and faster intervention. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and let me know whether it crashes as your current saves have been doing.

Hi, thank you for the tips! It seems to work when I move out the entire Sims 4 amp out of electronic arts and relaunch it without any saves, i played it for a while and i had no problems. However as soon as I add the saves back in the map, sims crash. What do I need to do to fix it?

If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and let me know how it runs.

Please also look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor. Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.

@busypixie Your dxdiag shows that Sims 4 is crashing because of an issue with a component of the VC++ 2015-2019 runtimes, or one of them anyway. That's the same error as you found in the Reliability Monitor. The dxdiag also lists some generic Windows errors, so it's best to start there. Please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:

For the VC++ error, please uninstall your current 2015 and newer copies and reinstall the newest versions. Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to hte Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, click on any version dated 2015 or newer, and uninstall. All of these are interchangeable to some degree, but the older ones are not, so don't touch anything from 2013 or earlier.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

@puzzlezaddict I have since re-updated any drivers, disabled in game overlays from NVIDIA, and have allowed all app options in my antivirus for TS4. Is it in my best interest to completely uninstall and reinstall the game?

Reinstalling Sims 4 probably won't help, although it might if the process happens to replace the VC++ runtimes in question. I don't actually know if that's the case or if the installer detects the presence of the runtimes and skips that step entirely. Still, it's a lot faster to just replace the runtimes rather than downloading the entire game again.

Many users report that they are troubled by the Sims 4 crashing issue after update. What causes the Sims 4 keeps crashing? If you are also bothered by this vexing issue, this post of MiniTool will provide you with the top 5 troubleshooting methods.

I have an S21 ultra dual sim. I was traveling internationally and had the sim 1 slot turned off in the sim card manager so I didn't incur roaming charges. When I landed home I opened the sim card manager and turned off the sim 2. Usually I would turn one on before turning the other off, but I was so tired I turned sim 1 off, then the phone crashed - so I effectively have both sims turned off and get no mobile signal at all

I tried to reload the sim card manager but when I tap it, it either does nothing, tries to enter the sim card manager and then exists before it can load anything, or gives me an error message related to call settings. The only way for me to load the sim card manager is to take both sim cards out. Otherwise it won't load it it gives an error and as soon as I put the sim cards back in, one or both, it wont allow me to access the sim card manager - it just doesnt load.

Hi, I have the exact issue for my s21 where I accidentally turned off both sims and the sim card manager crashes after. Unable to load sim card manager and it shows the 'call settings error message'. I have tried all the methods above as well but yeah still didn't work.

Not sure if it was just the clearing of call setting data and cache that got it to work or if it was a combination of all the rest of the steps as well e.g. reset network connections, update phone software, boot into safe mode or resetting of app preferences etc. Anyway, mine worked and I didn't have to resort to a factory reset.

But I found that sim manager begin crashing after I turning off 1st sim and data transfer swithed to this 1st sim. The application warns that data will be switch to 2nd sim and when you confirm start crashing. Until reboot.

I have alot of crashes when I use flip.
I got 24GB of RAM, 2.9Ghz, i7, 8CPU's, Nvidea Quadro K2100M, (win10) After I try to do any rop outputs in background and even close everything that has big processes of memory (even houdini itself) its freezing after a while.
The RAM is never above 9GB. The processes are mostly around 98%. But even if I lower my afinity in processes Houdini can use (like 60%), my whole Notebook is froozen and have to do a reboot.
In flip solver I tried using openCL, Pre conditioner Off/On,
It only seems to work with the normal render button instead of "Render in background".

Anyone who have some experience with this and knows how to fix it?
THNX ALOT

Nope not inspected it with cpu-z. Is this the correct one: -z.html
Also maybe it can be the heat... but when I searched for that, I only could find some post that you only can look at it in BIOS mode right?

Yes, CPUID is the place to download CPU-Z. You can also use HWMonitor, at the same URL to monitor your heat. HWMonitor also monitors min/max values for many other motherboard properties such as voltages, clock rates etc..

My hole system is crashing, I cant even move my mouse. ( I have to restart after that mostly 3 or 4 times) so Maybe it has something to do with heat.... funny hehe Im working with water now...not fuel, heat or temperature But it seems you need FLIP to let them work probably to have a proper heat haha

If you can find any way to force the internal fan on 100% give that a try. It may be a setting in side of the bios for the motherboard. There is a program called "speedfan" which is free but it is very difficult to setup IMHO. It does work, once you get it up and running. Then you can set the the fan percentage based upon the CPU heat value.

There is also a free GPU fan controller, called After Burner, put out by MSI motherboards. It is a GPU overclocking tool but I just use it to create a custom temp/fan speed ramp for my system and have it start on boot. Then if the GPU temp goes up I can hear the fan kick on. Getting any kind of airflow through your system should help bring down those temperatures a bit.

I just bought my laptop some months ago, I let them figger it out first. dont want to overclock anything. so I let it checked, keep everyone up to date here.
Thnx Atom! Your realy helpfull to me!
