HelloI just purchased an OfficeJet 250 printer and it keeps telling me that 'Driver is Unavailable' when running Windows 10 (64bit) over Wifi. Everything connects according to the HP Smart Print app and the device is on my network and can communicate with the device, but the 'driver is unavailable' still appears.

I've tried everything - reinstalling the drivers, removing the device, updating drivers. Nothing works. I'm very frustrated as I really need to print this printer to work over WiFi. USB connection works just fine. I've read all the posts that are out there that report this problem, but nothing works.

Thank you for your reply. I've just downloaded the HP Install as you suggest and tried running the installation software. However, the only option i have available is to plug in via USB and even then i can't connect now. The HP Smart App communicates with the printer and all seems ok from that end, but i'm unable to print or do anything now.

officejet 200 mobile printer was set up but get message "driver is unavailable' on printer eventhough i have installed the HP software...it will not install the driver and will not print. Setup should not be this difficult and HPsmart doesnt seem to be able to install the driver..tried all diagnostic tools no help

I have tried the suggested method to resolve the driver unavailable issue but it doesn't work, the re instalation shows the same issue. Windows 10 finds the driver but will not allow it to be used due to a digital signature not being correct.

I've been attempting to install a HP officejet 150 on a Mac air laptop that is running windows 7 (64 bit). Every time I try to run the installation program for either the full software and driver set OR the basic drivers it tells me that the computer has neither USB drivers nor USB ports, so it cannot install. Obviously the computer has these things. This happens even if I am trying to set up a bluetooth connection through the software as well as the USB connection.

Not sure if anyone can help... I have an old HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printer that I just want to use to print some basic things for my daughter... but it no longer connects to my iMac running Big Sur. No drivers appear available for it anymore..?

Given the age of the printer and if you see no drivers available, it is likely support for the printer has been discontinued. That being said, we'd recommend looking through the steps outlined in the article below to confirm if there's any update available.

On looking at various discussion forums, I found a suggestion to try a 3rd party driver and pick one that closest matched the printer. Fortunately, I managed to find a driver that was able to communicate with the printer perfectly and I can again print with just some features missing such as ink levels etc.

I'm stumped here. I've installed the printer on my Windows PC. I'm able to pair with it (Bluetooth) from my Android tablet (Galaxy 10.1"). I've tried using a variety of printing programs from the Android Marketplace, but I can't get anything to print.

Note to HP: You definitely need to improve the documentation on this printer. The docs that came with my printer make no mention of Android, and finding anything useful online is practically impossible. Very disappointing.

We have ordered and tested one of these boxes with a 10 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab, and it works quite well. The box is small, almost cube-shaped, and about 1.5 inches on each side. It does require a power source when printing.

I just got off the phone with HP support. The outcome of the conversation was that the OfficeJet 100 Mobile printer doesn't work with iOS or Android devices. Apparently, the iOS bluetooth isn't compatible with HP's, and no drivers exist for Android.

The printer apparently works with Nokia, Windows Mobile and BlackBerry devices. The justification from HP is that those devices are more business-oriented, while iOS and Android devices are more consumer-oriented.

That may have been the case 2 years ago, but businesses are turning to Android and iOS in growing numbers. In my opinion, it's an embarrassment for HP to not support the two major mobile operating systems.

I had the same problem and finally found a solution using the following configuration: I have a phone LGMs690 Android version 2.2.2. I used print share from the android market, I paid something around $8.00 and works just fine for me. My goal was fill out a pdf doc, and print it to be sign by hand (the people that i need to present the paper work for, don't accept an electronic signature) i edit the original pdf doc using pdf writer and put in my phone, using "fill and sign PDF forms" program (i dowload a free version and buy it after a finish the test) i can fill the fields that a created using a PDF writer, once a fill the form out i can rename the file or send it out to print using the share option in "fill and sign PDF forms". Hope this help some how.

Okay, here it is. The solution. For the life of me I could not understand why tablets, phones etc. are develoed to cuase us grief. I have been trying for two weeks to find a driver for HP (HP Officejet 100) printers that works on an Android. My tablet 4g gpad lte. recognized my bluetooth printer but would not print to it. Finally after no luck with HP (HP said that my printer will not work via bluetooth with an android tablet) or Verizon who sold me the tablet and said it would work with my printer, I took my printer into Verizon and told them to make it work. After 2 hours they gave up.

I figured it out by accident searching the web. Found "PrinterShare" and it works like a charm. Not little cubes to carry around, no fees to print, no bull. I downloaded it and installed it for free. I tested it and then bought it. $12.95 and that was it . I can print any doc., picture, etc. Good grief, I hope anyone that is trying to make an HP print from a tablet finds this message. HP eprint does not work. A waste of time. Finally smiling, Mike

Well, I'm glad I serached this problem out. I bought this piece-of-crap HP Printer 3 days ago, and today decided it was time to hook-it up. What a GIANT pain-in-the-arse this product is. I have a Samsung Tablet. HP says I can't use Bluetooth. **bleep**? After considering the few comments here, I think I'm just taking it back. Seems to me to be nothing but a headache for the entire life of this s**t product. Now wonder it was half price ($149.95). DON'T BUY IT ANYONE!

I have been having a problem with HP Officejet 200 printers not properly working with Windows 11. It was working fine with Windows 10 but ever since upgrading to 11 it will constantly go into an error state regardless of anything we try. We are using it through USB cords directly to the computer as we cannot use it over bluet tooth. Here is a list of everything we have tried:

We contacted HP for answers but they were not very helpful. I'm wondering if this is a Windows 11 issue. It is noted we have not attempted it on 22H2 as it was released a few days ago, we have only tried 21H2. Thank you!

Try open start and search for feedback and open the Feedback Hub app and report this issue.

Try uninstalling all drivers and restart your PC and download and install the latest driver from the HP website.

Try run Windows Update and download and install all updates.

To use AirPrint, you don't need to install an app, additional drivers, or other software. Just connect the AirPrint printer to your Wi-Fi network, then choose it in the print dialog when you print from your Mac or print from your iPhone or iPad, for example.

Similar to AirPrint printers, these USB devices allow you to print or scan without having to install additional drivers. Because they require a USB connection, they support driverless printing or scanning only from Mac computers.
