   ++ Beginner Farmer Training Program Application Deadline: November 14, 2025 -- Learn about sustainable and regenerative practices in this year-long class, January 2026-December 2026.  Includes both on-farm and in classroom settings. Low Hazard Dam General Permit Training -- The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation is implementing a revised general permit program in January, 2026 to reduce the administrative time and cost burden for owners to meet regulatory requirements for low hazard dams. These webinar trainings will allow low hazard dam owners and their representatives to learn more about the program. Virginia Community Flood Preparedness Fund Grant -- Applications Due: December 1, 2025 -- Communities across the Commonwealth are invited to apply for grants and loans to support flood mitigation projects that enhance community resilience and reduce the impact of flooding. Additional grants are available for Coastal Storm Risk Management and Flood Risk Management projects that have received construction authorization from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
