Webinar: Collaborating with our State Partners on Disaster Resiliency Planning -- November 19, 2025 (3-4pm) -- This webinar will explore projects completed under the EPA’s Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO). It will also provide information about the most recent project focusing on state disaster resiliency planning. Request for Site Qualifications (RFSQ): Nontidal Wetland/Stream Mitigation Project – RFSQ open through November 30, 2025. – The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is requesting site qualifications for a contractor that can provide nontidal wetland and/or stream mitigation project site(s) in the Chesapeake Bay, Middle James River, Upper James River, Potomac River, and Roanoke River basins in Virginia. The purpose is to provide mitigation to offset unavoidable impacts for which the Virginia Aquatic Resources Trust Fund (VARTF) has been utilized as compensatory mitigation. Designing Living Shorelines for Sea Level Rise in Virginia: A Resource for Practitioners -- This Resource includes a list of design practices for adaptive living shorelines and real-world case studies of permitted projects. Amendments to Virginia’s Tidal Wetlands Act and related Guidelines are also explained, along with the required data for designing and permitting shoreline erosion control practices.
