Coastal Cleanup (ICC) –
September-November -- Help organize or participate in a cleanup event. Site captains choose where volunteers clean litter, such as a local park, neighborhood, stream, or beach. Participants pick up litter and record what they find. Clean Virginia Waterways
(CVW) provides trash bags, gloves, and other supplies for cleanup events. See

Request for Applications: DEQ Virginia Chesapeake Bay Watershed Roundtable Support 2025

Submissions Deadline: October 1, 2024 (11:45pm)
-- Accepting applications from Watershed Roundtable sponsorship organizations in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The purpose is for work promoting watershed stewardship, Virginia Chesapeake Bay Watershed Implementation Plan Phase III and, local and Chesapeake
Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) implementation at the major basin watershed scale. Successful applicants will be granted a one (1)-year subrecipient agreement beginning
January 1, 2025, and ending December 31, 2025, with a possibility of extensions accompanied by additional funding (subject to availability). Funding will be awarded to eligible organizations through a competitive negotiation process that evaluates
the potential of each organization and project to effectively achieve the desired outcomes. Learn more at
