2.) 16th Annual Occoquan River Cleanup – September 27, 2025 (9am-12pm) – Various sites along Occoquan River in VA – Homeowners and civic associations, businesses, experienced kayakers, canoeists, and Jon/pontoon boaters, and others willing are encouraged to help clean up the Occoquan River along nine different sites.  For more information, see https://www.pwtsc.org/.  Organized by the Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition (PWTSC).

3.) Fundraiser for Clean Virginia Waterways -- September 27, 2025 -- Virginia Beach, Va. – Participants will paddle Long Creek and join an after-party at Ballyhoos. Paddlers will have a choice between a one-mile and three-mile round-trip route. Kayak and paddleboard rentals will be available. The goal is to raise funds for Clean Virginia Waterways’ education and waterway cleanup efforts in Virginia. Bad weather date: September 28, 2025.
