Note – A recent set of announcements included a call for water quality data for the 2026 Water Quality Assessment Integrated Report. The deadline was March 3, 2025 so has past. The DEQ publishes its biennial integrated report to satisfy the requirements of the U.S. Clean Water Act sections 305(b) and 303(d) and the Virginia Water Quality Monitoring, Information and Restoration Act. The agency accepts water quality data to be reviewed and evaluated for assessment purposes on a continual basis. Request for Proposals: Stream and Wetland Mitigation Design-Build Services for the Virginia Stream and Wetland Mitigation Program -- Submission Deadline: March 13, 2026 -- The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is soliciting proposals for Design/Build Services for a Nontidal Wetland and Stream Mitigation project site in the Chowan River Basin in Virginia. The purpose of the project is to provide mitigation to offset unavoidable impacts for which the Virginia Stream and Wetland Mitigation Program (SWMP) was utilized as the compensatory mitigation.
