3.) Workshops: Summer Invasive Plants (Virtual) -- All workshops are via Zoom. Topics covered include: identifying invasive plants, invasive plant control plans, best seasonal practices for each invasive, using manual & mechanical control methods, herbicide use, etc.  Registration fee: $10.  Offered by Blue Ridge PRISM.

4.) 2021 Drinking Water Clinics -- Anyone with a private water supply system (including wells, springs, and cisterns) may participate. Participation is voluntary and information is kept confidential. To learn more about the clinics, see https://www.wellwater.bse.vt.edu/vahwqp.php. Drinking water clinics are organized by local Extension Agents and Virginia Tech faculty in the Biological Systems Engineering Department. Contact your local Extension office to express interest in a clinic. Pre-register with the appropriate contact person listed here: https://www.wellwater.bse.vt.edu/events.phpPick up a kit prior to the clinic and collect and return samples as instructed.  Upcoming clinics include the following:

Mid-Atlantic Climate Change Education Conference (MACCEC; Virtual) -- June 28-July 1, 2021 – Each day has plenary and break-out sessions.  Day 1 includes a Student Track geared towards middle school and high school students that are passionate about tackling climate change.  Student Track registration for middle and high school students is free.
