Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP) Level 1 Training and Certification This course is based on a core set of standards in sustainable landscaping practices and integrates appropriate regional resources for those who live and practice in the Chesapeake Bay watershed and surrounding areas. PFAS Conference – July 14, 2021 (12-5pm) – This event will bring together policymakers, scientists, and marketplace leaders to share developments, discuss the impact of "forever" chemicals, and learn what is being done to address the harms of PFAS. 8.) 2021 Drinking Water Clinics -- Anyone with a private water supply system (including wells, springs, and cisterns) may participate. Participation is voluntary and information is kept confidential. Drinking water clinics are organized by local Extension Agents and Virginia Tech faculty in the Biological Systems Engineering Department. Contact your local Extension office to express interest in a clinic. Sustainable Stormwater BMP Maintenance Training for Crews July 19, 2021 (9am-3pm) – College Park, MD -- Designed for maintenance crew and crew leaders who have not completed CBLP level 1 Training. This course is ideal for private contractors as well as municipal and facilities/grounds staff who maintain stormwater BMPs. Upon completion of the class, participants will receive a CBLP-Crews certificate.
