Hello,
I need your help. An anonymous donor has pledged an additional $500 if we can raise an additional $1,500 by July 1. We have $3,280 left to go which is a small price to pay for a diesel Musso Daswoo by Mercedes Benz that can bring economic relief. The 4X4 is on the ground and in use by the workers because the seller of the truck has faith in my ability to raise the rest of the money. Below is a picture of the men that can now get to the job site with the truck. If you know anyone that can help us raise the rest of the money, I would be grateful.
warmly,
Kathryn Haines, Mali RPCV

Hello!
I was a Peace Corps Volunteer from 1995-1998. I have remained in touch with my host family and best friend since I left (my host dad was at my wedding and my best friend visited twice). I am organizing a fundraiser to help support a very important project of my Malian Dad, Sambou Dansoko, who retired as Chef De Section de Kayes for the railroads. If you can lend your support, I would be most grateful. Sambou worries that if he can't get this project off the ground then as international organizations move back to Mali, they will lead this initiative. He hopes to lead it with his fellow retired railroad workers as they have the expertise. You can read the whole story here: https://www.gofundme.com/put-families-and-trains-on-track. I know this project will succeed as Sambou Dansoko is an amazing leader who has dedicated his whole life to helping families improve their economic situation.
warmly,
Kathryn Haines
