My friend from Mali, Peace Corps Baba, will be in DC on July 9. I hope you can come to my home for a chance to buy beads and mud cloth, and go shopping while sipping wine, seeing old friends and meeting new ones!  Please let me know if you can come. And if you do come, remember to bring cash or a check. And bring your friends!

Some of you know because you have been here before, Peace Corps Baba hires dozens of people to help with beading. Tourists are still not returning to Mali because of the civil war. When we have fun buying gifts for ourselves or others, we are also helping dozens of families.
