There is $3,280 left to go on the $8,000 goal, which is a small price to pay for a diesel Musso Daswoo by Mercedes Benz that can bring economic relief by helping move workers along the track-side job site. From Kat: "The 4X4 is on the ground and in use by the workers because the seller of the truck has faith in my ability to raise the rest of the money."

When my friend from Mali, Peace Corps Baba comes later this month, my table will look something like this. He will bring bags of beaded jewelry we drink wine, see old friends and meet new ones and go shopping. This is a difficult time in Mali with the war continuing, and no tourists. What we purchase and enjoy wearing or gifting, will help Baba and his family as well as the many others that he hires to help him.
