Dear Friends,
Here are two lectures you might find interesting:
Our first lecture will be on November 17 at 4:00 pm in the Commons Forum Room. The speaker will be Dr. Caroline Emmons from Hampden-Sydney. Her topic will be on "African American Women in Virginian Civil Rights Movement." The lecture will last about an hour and there will be a question and answer period at the end.
Our second lecture will be on November 22 at 3:00 pm in the Commons Forum room. We have Dr. Dr. Maboula Soumahoro from University of Tours François-Rabelais and France Institute of Political Science, Paris. She will be speaking on the topic of "France in the 21st Century: Christianity, Islam and Race in a Secular, Colorblind Society" This will last around an hour and will be followed by a question and answer session as well.
I am really looking forward to hearing from both of these speakers in the coming weeks and hope that we can get as many people to come out as possible!
Thank you all for your time today.
