"Dakar, Musique et Francophonie"

The local Alliance Française chapter in Richmond was approached by a French documentary maker who is currently in Canada and is making plans to travel the East Coast to
show his film, a short, 27-minute film in French is about French language in Senegal, its effect on music and culture there, and implications for "Francophonie" in the future (by 2050 85% of the French speaking world will be in Africa and some predict that French may actually become the most widely spoken language in the world).
The VCU French Section is pleased to announce that it will host a screening and discussion on April 13 from 4:00-5:30 pm in West Grace North 1030J (Globe Residence Hall building).
