PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO OTHERS WHO NEED TO KNOW THE RULES OF
COMPETITION
Amateur boxing is a great sport please don't let bad things happen to
it. Only participate in safe and properly organized events
There will be an unsanctioned amateur boxing event on Saturday October
23rd at the Chantilly LA Boxing Gym.
All athletes and non athletes are advised not to participate in this
event as it will affect their standing and eligibility to compete in
USA Boxing events.
1. Safety is the biggest issue here. There will be no certified
Ringside Physician, professional (VA DPOR licensed) or amateur (USAB
certified) coaches, or officials at this event.
2. The VA Professional Boxing and Wrestling Administrator holds no
sanction for this event.
3. The President of the Virginia Association of USA Boxing holds no
sanction for this event.
4. The event is not listed on the LA Boxing website events calendar.
5. Make your own opinion about these events. Plenty of Youtube videos
of past events. Its clear to see improper gear being used, lack of
safety gear being utilized and lack of training these athletes have
prior to going into competition. The possibility of exposure to
catastrophic injury clearly evident.
