Re: USA Boxing Scholarship Program


As you may know, USA Boxing offers educational scholarships to member
athletes through its Thomas “Sarge” Johnson Scholarship program. With
the help of our foundation, we were able to award a total of $23,000
to last year’s applicants. Now is the perfect time to get the word out
to your members. The scholarship is available to athletes who:


1. Have graduated from high school or have received a GED.

2. Are current USA Boxing registered athlete members and
have been members for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years.

3. Have participated in at least two (2) sanctioned events
during each of the three consecutive membership years.

First year applicants are eligible for $1,000 and returning applicants
are eligible for up to $3,000 depending on GPA and college level
credit hours. Please distribute the enclosed scholarship packet to
eligible athletes. The application deadline is July 15th.
