Are there any list of dependencies available to start the Virgil
service. I have to download all the dependent package files manually
when the "bin/virgil -host localhost" throws "NoClassDefFoundError".
Am I doing something wrong here?

Hi Kumar,

Can you include a full stack trace?

Are you running with cassandra embedded in Virgil, or against a remote cassandra instance?

Kumar,

You shouldn't have to download the dependencies. They are in the ./lib
directory.
bone@zen:~/Downloads/virgil-0.15.1-> ls -al ./lib/* | wc -l
84

The shell script adds them to the classpath for you.
bone@zen:~/Downloads/virgil-0.15.1-> more bin/virgil | grep lib
for jar in $cwd/../lib/*.jar; do
JVM_OPTS="$JVM_OPTS -Xms512m -Xmx1024m
-javaagent:$cwd/../lib/aspectjweaver-1.6.11.jar -debug"

Let me know if you have continued issues.

Looks like he is running "remotely" but against a local instance of
cassandra.

Thanks Taylor and Brian for the reply.

Well, I had just cloned the url "https://github.com/hmsonline/
virgil.git", which does not have the lib folder. Now I have downloaded
the package from the download section and it works well.

Thanks Again,
Kumar

Hi Brian/ Taylor
I am facing the same issue as Kumar. I could not find lib directory in the 1.01 release downloaded from

Please advise from where to download the complete package.

I believe Github did away with it’s downloads section.
You might be best served to rebuild virgil from the release tag.

It should be as easy as:
$ git clone g...@github.com:hmsonline/virgil.git
$ mvn clean install
$ mvn assembly:assembly

Then, look in the target directory and you should have a zip and .tar.gz file.

Hope this helps.
