hi,
i want to ask you, how you work with the response string? I think it
would be easier to work with hashes... The problem i have is not to
work with a single column, but with the data of a whole column family.
I want to use the response string to list database entries in my
views, but i don't know the best way to do so. Do i have to convert
the string into the format i need, on ruby side, or is there any
easier way?

Thanks nice greets
Wolfgang

Wolfgang,

Are you using the json gem?  If not, have a look:
http://developer.yahoo.com/ruby/ruby-json.html

It will parse the result and let you index into it using hashes.

Let me know if that doesn't suffice.
