About my question, it may be that I am having a problem changing my
default server. But this is an older XP Pro machine, not Vista. (I
am logged on as administrator.) Thanks again.

I unzipped the update into the installed ViRC program folder as
instructed above. I'm new to IRC, so I'm trying to read & follow the
instructions. (Using WinXPPro). I was able to get onto two of the
servers just fine before, but not now. Help? Thanks!
