Timestamps freezing

I have this strange issue where my timestamps in ViRC end up freezing
at a certain time and only changing every so often. There seems to be
no set interval when they change, just every few minutes randomly.
It'll end up saying the time before it actually is that time sometimes
as well.

Only things I've modified are the PRIVMSG event/method so that it
flashes the taskbar on channel messages, my timestamp is set as [dd-mm-
yy·hh:nn:ss] (it's a holdover from IceChat which didn't seem to put
dates in logs), and my font is Bistream Vera Sans Mono (which has its
own odd problems but that's not the issue I'm addressing here).
