Joining a channel

I am new to this how do I join a channel.????

In your server input box trpe /join #anychannel and like elfin magic   you are transported to the channel of your choice. If there are no ops or peons present and depending on the network you are on  you will create a new channel or join one.

Replace *anychannel* with the channel name you want to join or create.
