Learn about the inspiring work Palestinians and Israelis are
doing for peace and justice.

Room C126, David Strong Building
University of Victoria
3800 Finnerty Road, Victoria, BC
Retired United Church of Canada Minister and one of the founding
members of the Victoria Multifaith Society, Rev. Dale Perkins, was one
of twelve participants in a Pilgrimage of Solidarity to
Israel/Palestine, to learn about the inspiring work Palestinians and
Israelis are doing for peace and justice. The trip took place in
April-May of this year and was sponsored by the Naramata Centre of the
United Church of Canada (UCC). Rev. Perkins will be giving an
oral presentation, including slides and other visual data, built
around the theme of, "Why I went, what I saw and experienced, and
what now?" A Q&A session as well as informal
conversation time will follow. It is expected that the UCC
Middle East Working Group report on Israel-Palestine will also be
discussed. The report recommended that the UCC boycott products
from Israeli settlements. CJPME met with the UCC Working Group
in 2011, and applauded their recently-released report.
