WHERE: City Hall, Pandora Entrance
WHEN: Thursday, June 14th, 7:00PM
The VIPIRG report on the policing of poverty was released six months
ago. Since then, we've been working hard on the issue, but council has
not. We've seen no action from council towards stopping the
criminalization of poverty. What's up? Come on down for a BBQ with us
to remind council that we're still here and nothing has changed on the
streets. We still want council to take action by repealing bylaws that
target street-involved people, creating a zero tolerance policy for
discrimination, and implementing mechanisms for greater police
accountability.
