Hi All,
I my beloved 8 Plus, I had the display set to automatically lock after 30
seconds.
On the 14, with Face ID enabled, I find it more practical to set the auto
lock to 1 minute.
However, as I become more and more proficient with both the physical device
and the OS, rarely do I need the extra time afforded by the longer display
time.
As a result, I prefer to lock the display, manually, by using the phone's
power button, located on the right side of the device.
I always hold the phone in my left hand.
Given that I am a southpaw, along with the native physical size of the Pro
Max, increased by the addition of the folio case, and using the power button
to lock the display becomes less streamline than on a smaller device. In
short, pressing the power button, in the case, takes more effort than I
expected.
The solution for me? I set a VoiceOver gesture command, a 4-finger single
tap, to lock the display.
Using this command means that I no longer have to locate the power button
with a finger on my right hand and press it in order to lock the display.
I am posting this to remind everyone that if you feel that you may want to
increase any given task on iPhone, check to see if there is a solution in
the VoiceOver gesture commands area of accessability.
