Hello:

I'm in the market for a new microwave oven. My Magic Chef bit the dust.
I am wondering which models of talking microwaves folks are using.
Thanks for any suggestions.

You can save yourself some money by just buying a regular microwave and then labeling it. You can get different kinds of labels from Maxi Aids or independent living aids or even Etsy that's what I did I just had someone help me label the microwave that I had and it works great and was much cheaper. Besides, I think many of the talking microwaves have very limited features. At least that's what the case was when I was in the market for one before I went with the option I just. Described described above you could even probably use an app like Be My Eyes or Aira to you have someone help you label it?

Yes, you canbuy a regular microwave oven and puts some dots on it and save youself at least 2 or 3 hundred bucks, and that's a lot of groceries. Even a few trips to a sit down restaurant.

Don't know what my microwave is, but it only beeps no talking,

If my microwave started talking to me, I think I'd hae been eating the wrong cakes.

I just got a hold of what microwave I could get from Walmart and my dad marked it with stuff we had gotten from the dollar store. It turns out trying to go to these other companies for things seems to be really awkward and difficult. It seems like to me it is sometimes more trouble than it’s worth. My dad just said we could work it all out with stuff we can get from the dollar store. It is OK. It would be nice to have a microwave that talked if there was one out there that was affordable.

When I was looking through the messages on this thread, it occurred to me that we are actually off topic for the list. Which for me is OK because I know sometimes things can overlap and it all works out in the long run. I was just wondering if anyone ever got a hold of a microwave That used an app that you could put on your iPhone that would allow you to access more of the features of the microwave then you could if you had simply marked it was with whatever you could market with a lot of other things have phone apps to access them. I was just wondering if anyone would know if the microwave would have any phone apps out there that would allow access some of the Other features of the microwave that you could not access if you had just simply marked it.
